1987 hab ich meine erst spex gekauft, ausgerechnet in der (noch) verschnarcht(er)en nachbarstadt machte eine indie-disco auf (seltsamerweise mit dem namen "a-ha"), in die man sich jedes wochenende von den älteren mit führerschein chauffieren ließ und schwofte zu klassikern wie feelies, femmes und joy division oder heißem scheiß wie pixies, boa und happy mondays. musikgeschmack und plattensammlung machten einen beachtlichen qualitätssprung. das dürfte das erste jahr sein, in dem ich mehr als die hälfte der platten schon zum erscheinen kannte und mochte (auch wenn ich sie mir oft erst später gekauft habe, da der damaligen finanznot geschuldet nur auf cassette vorhanden). hip hop hab ich allerdings damals jenseits von formel eins (also run dmc und ll cool j) kaum mitgekriegt. der wanderte erst später in die charts ein:
