Die beiden Livealben und Bonamassa waren klar die Highlights. Saga präsentierten das erste (und einzige) Album mit einem neuen Sänger, was mir durchaus gefiel. Vienna Teng schaffte es leider auch diesmal nicht, aus dem Insidertipp-Status herauszukommen, trotz eines sehr guten Albums. Und - ich habe UFO für mich wiederentdeckt. Die alten Herren sind schwer in Form!

06.12.2009 | 18:48:40 Das herausragende Album dieses Jahr war für mich The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. Zwar hört man Vorbilder wie My Bloody Valentine und The Jesus & Mary Chain deutlich raus, aber 1. darf man bei einem Debütalbum die Vorbilder raushören, 2. sind das gute Vorbilder und 3. ist es ja auch eine Kunst, sich von denen das beste auszusuchen und dem ganzen noch eine eigene kreative Leistung hinzuzufügen, z.B. in Gestalt von schönen Melodien.
Eine lobende Erwähnung haben sich z.B. auch die LPs von - God Help The Girl - Jeffrey Lewis - Lord Cut Glass - G.Rag y los Hermanos P. - Jarvis Cocker - Liechtenstein verdient.
Mit einem knappen Jahrzehnt Abstand sieht es mit eine paar Nachzüglern und in willkürliche Reihenfolge gebracht, so aus, wobei ich mich, um ehrlich zu sein, an die mit den zweistelligen Plätzen allenfalls dunkel erinnere:
