A Letter from TreeTops is the debut album from Pneumatic Tubes, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Jesse Chandler. Grounded here in his own bucolic makings, Chandler opens his imagination to the world with this very personal and contemplative album. It’s a kind of American Kosmiche Music, a paean to the wild landscapes of the Adirondacks and Catskills of Upstate New York where he grew up.
Wunderbar warm klingender, minimalistischer House aus Chicago. LeRon Carson ist leider bereits 2016 verstorben und dieses Album kam nun 2021 auf dem Label von Theo Parrish raus. Hier hätte ich statt Teuer-Vinyl lieber die Doppel-CD, die noch eine ganze Reihe von Vinyl-EP-Tracks zusätzlich mit vereint. Kann man sich aber leider nicht so einfach hier kaufen.
Geht mir genauso. Muss man wohl noch etwas warten. Ich find die Sammlung und den House-Ansatz von Herr Carson auf jeden fall auch sehr knorke.
So, CDs liegen jetzt vor und rotieren im Auto. Das könnte ich tagelang am Stück hören.

joa, ganz hübsch, aber richtig gepackt hat mich das beim ersten mal hören noch nicht.
öh, nö. so sehr ich die beiden ersten alben liebe, das ist egalo-pop-rock, der zwar nicht stört, aber leider nicht annähernd an die früheren großtaten rankommt.

Nur eine EP mit einer Spieldauer von 14 Minuten, aber das ist defintiv "andere" Musik. Sehr faszinierend. Sehr filmisch, ein wenig gospelig, dramatisch.
